Professional Organizing is an industry that has grown exponentially over the past two decades but, still, there are so many people who have no idea what we do. Many think we simply organize closets and that’s it. There are Professional Organizers out there who do that and so much more including, Digital Organizing, Photo Organizing, Virtual Organizing, Organizing for Events. The list goes on and on. But, for the purposes of this newsletter, I’d like to share the services that we provide including a breakdown of what that entails.
Organizing Concepts and Designs aka OCD has now been in business for 15 years. As you can imagine, our services have changed and grown over the years so, I thought I’d take this opportunity to let you, those who actually take the time to read my newsletters, know what we do and how we do it. Of course, you can use some or all of our services. You get to pick and choose what you need and when.
Home Organizing:

NOTE: De-cluttering is the process of getting rid of unnecessary items to create a more organized space, while downsizing is a broader concept that involves reducing your possessions to fit a smaller home or lifestyle. You can de-clutter without downsizing, but downsizing inherently involves a comprehensive de-cluttering process to ensure only essential items are kept for the new, smaller environment.
- We can help you figure out what to keep, what to donate, what to toss and what to sell (If there is value) and will facilitate all of these options.
- We do all the lifting, pushing, pulling and packing. All you have to do is make decisions.
▹ Donations:
- If it fits in our cars, we’ll take it to donations (You will get the donation receipt for your records)
- If not, we’ll schedule & coordinate donation pick-up
▹ Trash removal:
- We will provide an on-site estimate for trash removal and, if approved we will haul anything/everything in one day
Office Organizing:
▹ Maximize productivity through time management
▹ Implement custom filing systems to meet your unique needs
▹ Streamline paper management and workflow procedures
▹ Establish procedures that can be maintained over time
Relocations:
▹ Facilitating the entire moving process
- We will oversee and coordinate your move
- We will be there on the day of the move to make sure everything goes smoothly
▹ Packing for an upcoming move
▹ Obtaining estimates from moving companies
- We will obtain estimates from 2 reputable moving companies that we work with
regularly and have vetted
▹ Unpacking in a new residence (our favorite part)
- Everything will be organized, functional, accessible and will look great too
- We will break down all boxes and bag up all paper
▹ Facilitate and Coordinate Donations and Trash Removal
Staging:
▹ Getting the house ready for marketing photos prior to sale using “client’s” furnishings and accessories. We do not bring in furniture or décor!
- We concentrate on all areas of the home and will move things around as needed
- We box/pack things up to move them to the garage or other storage area as necessary
Estate Sales:
▹ Selling the entire contents of a home
▹ Preparing items for sale
▹ Researching prices for items to be sold
▹ Advertising and managing Estate Sales
Estate Clearing:
▹ Completely clear out any and all unwanted household items. Scheduling and overseeing:
- Trash removal
- Shredding (can be done on-site or off-site)
- If there are 5 boxes or more, we can have them picked up
- If not, we can take them to Office Depot or Staples and they will shred there
- Donations
▹ Broom sweep and vacuum all areas
▹ Note: We clear! We do not clean. If the house needs to be cleaned we can
recommend a cleaning service.
Basically, we consider ourselves a one-stop-shop. If, for some reason, there is a service we don’t provide, we will refer you to another company that can help. We want our alleviate or at least minimize the stress and overwhelm that so many of us experience with moving, downsizing, organizing or clearing a house after the passing of a loved one. We have the knowledge, experience and resources and we would LOVE to be of service!
